In 2019, Thom and Lenny Nelis closed their shop on the Keizersgracht, in the heart of what was once the bustling Spiegelkwartier. Specialising in antique medical and scientific instruments, the shop was a welcoming place where remarkable and rare objects found their way into the hands of international collectors and museums. Veilinggebouw De Zwaan is now offering a selection of apothecary jars and travelling medicine chests, as well as instruments and related objects, at auction.
