Klassieke en klassiek-moderne kunst

In this auction we have a wide range of paintings and drawings from the 16th to 18th centuries, mainly Dutch school. Portraits (lot number 6401), landscapes and still lifes are part of the range.

Johannes Klinkenberg specialized in painting cityscapes (often topographical, with a beautiful effect of sunlight and reflective water of a canal). The combination that Johannes Klinkenberg managed to create between his own historical interest and the rich tradition of the Dutch cityscape on the one hand made him popular with art lovers. We offer one of the most beautiful cityscapes of Amsterdam by him, a view of the Amstel (lot number 6450). We also have works from the 19th century by Charles Leickert, Andreas Schelfhout, Abraham Hulk (lot number 6416), Bernardus Blommers (lot number 6448), Otto Eerelman, Floris Arntzenius and Frederik Kruseman.

We have a wide range of early modern art from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Georg Hendrik Breitner (lot number 6455), Bart van der Leck (lot number 6483), Kees Maks (lot number 6480), Jan Voerman (lot number 6460) and Jan Veth (lot number 6515) are among the highlights of the offer.
