Modern and contemporary art

In the modern and contemporary art section we offer a capital work by Lita Cebellut (lot number 6870). Lita Cabellut is a Spanish artist who lives and works in The Hague. Her work is characterized by large-scale canvases that combine traditional fresco techniques and modern applications of oil paint, ink and other materials. Her work is collected internationally.
Walasse Ting was a Chinese-American painter. He left China in 1946, lived briefly in Hong Kong and settled in Paris in 1952. There he met Karel Appel, Asger Jorn and Pierre Alechinsky. In 1957 he went to America and settled in New York, where his work was influenced by pop art and abstract expressionism. From 1989 he lived alternately in New York and Amsterdam, where he had a studio with Appel. We offer a gouache by him (lot number 6805).
